Technician I

Location: Rochester, NY

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the test supervisor, the successful candidate will be primarily responsible for testing boards and assemblies to component level, and secondarily responsibility for troubleshooting boards and assemblies to the component level.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Test and troubleshoot obvious problems on a majority of company products
• Work with the test manager to improve both quality and throughput of shipments
• Provide feedback to the test manager on the adequacy and accuracy of the diagnostics and test procedures
• Move materials from staging area to work area and transfer completed work back to the staging area

Education:

• AAS in EE/ET preferred, plus one year of experience in a test environment
• Military electronic training or other comparable electronic training acceptable

Required Skills and Work Experience:

• At least five years of experience in electronic testing (if education requirement not met)
• Ability to troubleshoot digital and microprocessor-based assemblies
• Demonstrable use of commercial test equipment
• Above average verbal and math skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work well within a team
