CompactPCI® Blade Functionality

PT is the originator of the PICMG® 2.16 architecture and offers a host of integrated hardware and software products. PICMG 2.16 was developed to extend the life of existing CompactPCI® systems by combining the inherent robustness and reliability of CompactPCI with packet-switched Ethernet fabrics.

We deliver a complete, compatible and configurable set of blade functionality for developing next-generation systems. This allows you to configure your system to support a wide range of applications, including wireless, IP telephony, Wi-Fi gateway/switches and various aerospace, defense and commercial applications.

• System Management
  System Management is a critical component to maintaining high availability or reliability to a system, and it reduces operating expenses. • Ethernet Switches
  When PT pioneered Ethernet switching for CompactPCI® with the introduction of PICMG® 2.16, we brought increased bandwidth, performance, and reliability to embedded computing applications.   Our embedded storage expansion blade is ideal for use where disk-intensive services are required. It employs enterprise-class SATA hard drives support hot-swap, and is scalable for increased flexibility and reliability.
   
• Signaling Gateway Blade
  Our Signaling Gateway Blade is a robust, turnkey SS7/IP signaling gateway in a standard CompactPCI® form factor that also supports PICMG® 2.16. A true carrier-grade system-in-a-slot, the SG5601 provides a signaling bridge between traditional telephone networks and VoIP architectures and provides SS7 functionality to enable call control and service processing capabilities.
